RED....Sex, Passion, Danger

What colors attract people to you and your business?

Visual presentation of your brand, your company or product turn of or turn off people and their attention. Colors  will determine if people will start reading your article or will be noticed your ads. Colors influences how someone will respond and behave. If you go into fast-food restaurant you can see warm and happy colors because they want to you to feel happy and come back.

The cultural basis for color symbolism can be very powerful, and if you don't understand what you're saying with your colors, you can make big mistakes. Red color in China symbolizes good luck and celebration, in India purity, in Western countries excitement, danger, love, passion, stop. Green color in China symbolizes exorcism, in India Islam and in Ireland it's a symbol of the entire country. Orange is color of the Halloween, creativity and autumn. Blue color in Iran symbolizes heaven and spirituality and in the Western countries it is  a symbol of depression, sadness, tradition and conservative.

In business, colors have different meaning. In America, green is associated with jealousy or money.

Red......excitement, strength, sex, passion, speed, danger.
Blue.....(most popular) trust, reliability, belonging, coolness.
Yellow...warmth, sunshine, cheer, happiness.
Orange...playfulness, warmth, vibrant.
Green....nature, fresh, cool, growth, abundance.
Purple...royal, spirituality, dignity.
Pink.....soft, sweet, nurture, security.
White....pure, virginal, clean, youthful, mild.
Black....sophistication, elegant, seductive, mystery, sexual.
Gold.....prestige, expensive, elite.
Silver...prestige, cold, scientific.

So, don't choose the colors because they are your favorite than pick your colors for your market.

AIDA

The AIDA model of advertising is the simplest and also most powerful formula you'll ever find anywhere. It stands for Attention, Interest, Desire, Action.

Attention
The first thing your copy needs to do is grab the reader's attention. You achieve this with your headline. Your headline should immediately catch your readers' attention and offer a clear benefit for reading the rest of the copy. The headline should be about your readers - not about you.

Interest
The next thing the reader sees after reading your headline is the first line of your copy, this first line has to be strong enough, and compelling enough to get them to want to read the next line.

Desire
You need to convert your reader's interest into a strong desire for what you're offering. That's why most copy should be long, much longer than you think.

Action
Tell customers what to do, because if you don't... they like as not won't bother. "Buy my product! You must have them all!"

Fridge Magnets

"A refrigerator magnet is an ornament, often whimsical, attached to a small magnet which is used to post items such as shopping lists or report cards on a refrigerator, or which simply serves as decoration." - wikipedia

Originally the magnet was a small unprinted patch that was stuck to the back of a leaflet or card and designed as a simple memory-jogger. If you or your company wants a good ad make bunch of fridge magnets and give them for free. Everyone likes fridge magnets. Put your logo, company name or some other picture and you will have permanent free ads. Do thing different!

Software training

'Online software training videos that really work.
Learn software from Adobe, Apple, Microsoft and more.
Classes for beginners to experts.
Learn at your own pace: Play, pause, rewind.
Watch one tutorial at a time, or a whole course.'

Today I went to lynda.com and I found they have over 1,000 courses. Since I'm very interested in graphic design I decide to learn Adobe Illustrator. Right now I'm studing their course Illustrator CS4 Essential Training. After that I'll will start learning some advanced modes and maybe some other courses like MS Office, Photoshop, Indesign or some 3D software. I don't know yet, we'll see. Try it and have fun!

Adobe Illustrator

Illustrator is used to create vector-based graphics which — contrary to raster-based editors such as Adobe Photoshop — can be easily rescaled without the loss of quality. Illustrator is used to quickly transform hand-drawn sketches on a sheet of paper into colorful digital images. To master Adobe Illustrator isn’t easy; and the creating process of professional illustrations requires both time and patience. The new Illustrator is faster, flashier, and more colorful, yes. Try it.

Short your link - bit.ly

I just find out how to shorten links for twitter. Not just for twitter but for everything I like. I registered on http://bit.ly/ website and it is very simple to use. Design of the page is simple too and very easy to use. There you can analyze who clicked on your web page. Also there are charts which shows you clicks, referrers details and location details of your page viewers. I will try to put the link on my blog. I saw they have QR code. I like it. After all I think shorten link service is great for all the people who shares links via mobile phones. Very very usefull thing.
